What happens after a successful catch
Outcomes after drop time — direct assignment, Premium.st auctions, and payment steps.
Scenario A — Single qualifying backorder:
If we register the name and you are the only qualifying backorder, the name may assign to you at your starting bid subject to backorder terms. Watch for email and account notifications. Settlement uses your Dot.st wallet.
Scenario B — Multiple qualifying backorders:
If several backorders qualify, the name usually moves to a public timed auction on Premium.st instead of silent assignment. Any verified member who meets bid checks may join — not only original backorder holders.
Scenario C — Catch fails:
If we do not secure the name, your backorder closes or updates accordingly and wallet holds release when rules allow. The domain may have been renewed by the prior owner or caught elsewhere.
During a Premium.st auction:
Open /auctions or Live auctions in the header. Bid in whole dollars before hammer time. Payment deadlines apply if you win.
After you win:
Follow payment and any escrow or assignment screens in your Dot.st account. Contested Dropcatch wins use internal fulfillment; member marketplace auctions use a different escrow path.
Unclear outcome after drop? Open dot.st/support with the domain name and your backorder ID if shown.
